PHSE

We believe PSHE is a fundamental part of every child’s education in order for them to become confident, happy, responsible citizens in an increasingly complex world.

Our whole school approach to PSHE, using the Jigsaw scheme of work, aims to help children in understanding and valuing how they fit into and contribute to society. Our aim is to provide children with opportunities to learn information, skills and values that will empower and equip them to take responsibility for their own well-being, safety and support them in building fulfilling relationships. Our weekly PSHE lessons provide relevant and meaningful content with a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health.

We hope, through our PSHE curriculum, that children will be well equipped to understand and make a positive impact in a diverse world full of exciting opportunities while confidently negotiating challenges and risks both on and offline.
