Welcome to Bramble Class!
Mrs Poulter teaches Bramble class. Year 3 is supported by Miss Baynes and Mrs Bell.

We will visit the library on a Tuesday - you can change your reading book any day during lunch.

Next week we are learning about the human skeleton in science. Can you use the Internet and non-fiction books to find the answers to the following questions?
1. How many bones make up the human skeleton?
2. Why do we have a skeleton?
3. What is the scientific name for the skull?
4. What are the bones in the hands called?
5. What happens if you break a bone?
Art- Harry Potter meets van Gogh
After a half term exploring and experimenting with techniques, we completed our van Gogh inspired art work today and we are so proud of ourselves! Mrs Morris has been telling everyone about them! What do you think?
Art- Exploring Van Gogh
In art we are enjoying learning about Vincent van Gogh. This week we experimented with recreating the most important parts of his famous painting Starry Night, using wax crayon, oil pastel and paint. We then decided which looked most effective and will be using it to create our own versions of Starry Night over the next few weeks...with a Harry Potter twist! Watch this space...
Happy 90th Birthday Your Majesty
Bramble Class enjoyed celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday by creating a timeline of her life, drawing her portrait and creating a Royal Family Tree. Thank you to the parents who came and celebrated with us and enjoyed a slice of birthday cake.
In Computing, Bramble Class have begun exploring using Scratch Jnr and creating algorithms in order to program the cat. Next half term, the children will be creating their own moving stories using Scratch Jnr.
If you want to practise using Scratch Jnr, it is free to download via iTunes.
